Helen Calcutt Workshop – Owning it

‘Why not say what happened?’ – Robert Lowell Drawing on themes from her next collection, Helen’s workshop will encourage you to write honestly from life’s experiences, and see them as the power within you – not the pain. So often we see trauma and struggle through the lens of grief. But, creatively – especially through words – we can start to ‘own’ these parts of ourselves, in an empowering and wholesome way.
Writers will be guided through a series of exercises designed to uplift, challenge, and set them on an exciting new path in their work.
Participants will be invited to explore unique ways of structured storytelling that not only contemplates the narrative of the Universe, but also considers the influence of breath, shape, pulse, and sensation upon the page. All levels of experience welcome!
